Outing Club this week

Outhouse Open House
Grab your grandma and head over to 132 High Street on Wednesday night at 8pm for some great live music from the bluegrass/folk band The High Lonesome. Get your groove on dancing to the good ol' sounds of fiddle and banjo while enjoying some tasty free ice cream sundaes and snacks. You can get a tour of the house, meet the housemates and shmooze with lots of cool people. There will be Outing Club t-shirts to purchase ($10) if you'd like one, and you can sign up for the club membership for the semester ($5) to rent all the gear you can lay those grubby hands on.

Rock climbing outdoors this Saturday at Ragged Mountain
They'll be teaching how to build anchors and set up top ropes. Go now so you can learn how to climb on your own later. No equipment or experience necessary. Space is limited, so email rhigginson(at)wes fast. It should be a wonderfully warm 30 degrees.

Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour Hits CT - Friday February 23rd
The Banff Mountain Film Festival is on the road across North America and around the world. Whether you are an experienced mountaineer or an armchair adventurer, this event is for everyone. Don't miss the excitement! Outhouse will be heading to Glastonbury CT for the event. The WSA has kindly agreed to subsidize half of the $12 dollar ticket price (meaning you pay $6) for the first 15 people who respond. Please RSVP as soon as possible so they can reserve tickets for everyone. (If you are not in the first 15, they'd love to have you, but tickets will be $12). Let them know if you have a car. Save the Date - Outing Club Potluck
Saturday Febuary 24th, Outing Club will be holding a potluck dinner at Outhouse. It's going to be fun - so don't make plans. Stay tuned next week - more info to come!

Spring Break!!! Whooot!!!
Interested in joining the Outing Club spring break trip? There will be a wild 5/6 day backpacking trip going out the second week of Spring Break. They will follow the Appalachian Trail across the Beautiful State of Maryland - It should be a chilly, but otherwise relaxing trip. Email sbernier(at)wes if you are interested- space is limited but you don't need your own gear. Reply ASAP please!
