Wesleying The Internet
Here is some random crap I found amusing 0n my internet travels this morning:
- Ecstasy and pot found to be less dangerous than alcohol, new study sez.
- Scientists develop giant pill to stop cows from burping and farting to save the environment.
- Florida community college chess team pwns Harvard and Yale.
- Colleges fight back against the RIAA.
- Sam Kurtis '10 sends in another Onion article mocking Wesleyan's uber-activist reputation.

correction -- alcohol found almost as harmful as heroin.
After three years here I can confidently say that Wesleyan's "uber-activism" reputation is completely fraudulent. This place is is like a repository of "the cult of me" with some of the most self-center people I've ever met in my life. The only reason most people here rotest anything is to assuage their own self loathing, or, more often, to draw attention to themselves. "Keep Wes weird!" Right. More like "Look at me!...Hey! I'm talking to you! ME! I'M TALKING!" It's truly pathetic.
Welcome to the real world, above poster.
You think this is a Wesleyan phenomenon? Have you *heard* of the '80s? Lawyers? Politics? Children?
Hello, human condition.
you're both right. doesn't mean you shouldn't fight it (the inauthenticity) with everything you've got.
