The End of an Era
The legendary Beverly Sills passed away last week to lung cancer.
Personally I'm not very enthusiastic about her singing, though she is regarded as one of the great coloratura sopranos, but I do admire her for not taking crap from anyone. Any other opera buffs among the Wesleying readership? please tell me I'm not alone.

I don't know much about opera (okay, close to nothing at all), but I'm sorry I only found out about Sills when she died. She sounds like she was an awesome lady.
Alone?--impossible. Le horreur! I'm partial to Leontyne Price and Anna Moffo myself.
