Here there be Dragon...Xythos??

Good, albeit old, news (from May), but this is the first I've heard of it. From here:

ITS will be rolling out a new filesharing system beginning this summer. The new system, Xythos, has a Web interface and can also be accessed via your Mac’s Finder or via Windows Explorer.

This system will eventually replace Dragon (Windows users’ G: and H:drives), provide an external file storage and sharing system for Blackboard, and provide a space for publicly accessible personal Web files and sites (replacing static Web page serving by condor.wesleyan.edu), thereby offering our users a central interface to manage all files.
Hopefully this new system will be a lot more user-friendly... Not to mention better-advertised. I didn't even know what Dragon was until...oh...Finals week of this past semester.

For those eager to get a taste of Xythos, here's a demo of the product offered by the company:

It seems to be the beta version of the product, so it may have features that will not be present in Wesleyan's implementation... but it does give a good sense of how it works.

This is exciting. I sat down and tried to figure out Dragon about 6 or 7 times throughout the past year, and it always seemed like there was one crucial piece of information just left out by ITS. It had really terrible documentation.
