Spring Break Banner Drop

In case you missed the big banner being held in front of Usdan during lunch the past few days, a group of Wes students have been gearing up for their spring break trip to Washington DC to protest the war and promote peace. They created 2 videos for a site called OurSpringBreak.org, where students across the country were supposed to drop a banner announcing the mission for their trip. Check out the 2 videos, as posted by "posterboy505" on YouTube

Rock on dudes, although wouldn't it be nice if our generation could adopt some imagery of our own? Guitars are great, of course, of course, but singing "this little light of mine?"?!?! You're creative, motivated people. Maybe protest could look different than it did forty years ago.

I'm not trying to criticize what you've done or what you're doing-- I think they're both important and great. I'm just trying to motivate everyone to do MORE and to look at themselves and think about how to get OUR message across, not just replay the same scenes we and our parents and their parents have seen. Perhaps then we'd be taken more seriously....... Drum circles and guitars and peace signs shouldn't go away, but what can we add?
