Translation: Kid too normal for Wesleyan?
I got a good laugh out of it, anyway. From a post on CollegeConfidential:
Wes a good fit for straight, well-rounded, apolitical kid?NO WE'RE ALL GAY GTFO
Son is interested in attending a LAC. He is a well-rounded academically oriented athlete. He is somewhat conservative by most college standards and is not that politically-oriented or involved in community service. Enjoys life, school, sports, and friends. Is a strong student and interested in international relations and pehaps investment banking. He is fairly conventional in lifestyle and outlook, and defintely not quirky. Wes has a reputation of attracting artsy and/or socially active kids. Would son fit in?
In other, less depressing news, class of 2012 admissions decisions are rolling in. And you know what that means: Zillions of prefrosh on Facebook.
See what they wrote in their application essays! ("I just wrote a series of statements starting with I believe...and then said a bunch of random stuff I believed in") See the dreams they've been having about Wesleyan! ("normal day; i wake up in clark and have to do a paper, but want to go to some dance party. instead, i take a shower and read about odd experiments in the sci-li")
2012 will be a good year.
