Lice

LICE!

A friendly health advisory sent out this afternoon:

Public Health Advisory: Head Lice

"There have been a number of apparent cases of head lice on campus recently. To date, we know of no cases with actual lice identified, but a number of cases credibly determined to have nits (egg casings).

Lice are a successful human parasite because they may go undetected for a period of time. To have lice is not a failure of personal hygiene or responsibility to the community, it’s just bad luck."

....I'm throwing up.

I have to believe that the uncleanliness of some students here is playing a role in all these absurd outbreaks

I don't know about that, 6:07, I hear it's the lacrosse team. Not exactly known for dragging their dreads through the mud.

it WAS the lax team, and it just means one person was unlucky enough to get it, and they're all around each other sharing stuff a lot

FYI: Lice don't like people with dirty hair. The cleanest of heads are preferable, as they allow for easier gripping to the hair follicles. i.e. DON'T WASH YOUR HAIR AND YOU WON'T GET LICE. Now that's the real message, kids.

I'm throwing up from how this post, and most of the comments, totally ostracizes whoever was unlucky enough to contract the little buggers. The health advisory even says like: PLEASE DON'T BE ASSHOLES TO FOLKS WHO HAVE LICE.
