Off-campus living, anyone?

A recent email to faculty and staff announces the sale of five Wesleyan houses near campus:

I am pleased to inform you that competitive offers are now being accepted for the following Wesleyan owned houses for sale. Please contact the realtor of your choice or contact Wesleyan’s listing agent, Jackie Williams of Sterling Realtors at 860 343-3820.
Just which houses are up for grabs?

they've been on the "to sell" list for quite some time. they had to use a few last year because of the housing shortage, but they didn't plan to, and there's no one living there this year. i know they're building at least one new house this summer.

Why are we selling houses while admissions are going up and class appropriate housing is going down, again?

I don't think anyone has to worry about these houses selling anytime soon, at least not based on the atrocious web listings coded with FrontPage 2003.

Plus, who wants to buy a house in this market?
