I think it's very possible that "weekend sailing race" is code for "speaking at my step-daughter's graduation." They don't want to make a huge deal out of it and have all sorts of media following them around as he celebrates something personal after a very hard week.

Am I the only one who finds it slightly creepy that a helicopter followed the senator's car along the road after he left the hospital? I still have creepy "someone is watching me" chills.
