A little checking WesMaps reveals that indeed, everyone taking the FYI Personal Identity and Choice will be living together in Butt B.
This First Year Seminar is part of Wesleyan's Learning and Living Program. Students who register for this class will live together in the same residence hall. Because students are living in close proximity to one another, intellectual discussions and collaborative learning will extend beyond the classroom. This arrangement facilitates group assignments and projects, and allows for the growth of a strong community of students through daily interaction. Strengthening students' intellectual and residential community enhances the undergraduate experience for Learning and Living seminar participants.
Who knew Wesleyan had a Living and Learning program? weird.

I think there were a couple other FYI courses like this as well.

That's actually a great idea - having students in the same FYI class live in the same area. Is it going to be the same for other FYI's as well, or is it just this group of kids who gets to develop their Personal Identity and Choice with each other, or whatever?

Yeah, they're pulling this in Clark with a writing FYI, I believe.

I really don't like the idea. I thought that class sounded great. at the same time I had a definite preference for where I wanted to live (it wasn't butt B). I ended up having to choose between living where I wanted and taking an awesome-sounding class. I picked the former and I don't regret it (I think) but it's really dumb I had to make that choice. and damnit that class/professor still sounds amazing

Man... I live in butt B. It is not that I dont support the idea. But selfishly (i know awful right?) I dont want a whole living and learning frosh community in my building. It might skew the community in a strange way.
