Santogold with Jay-Z on B.I.G. Soundtrack
Santogold gets some street cred by collaborating on Jay-Z's new Kanye-produced track "Brooklyn (Go Hard)", which is Track 7 on the soundtrack of Notorious, the upcoming Biggie biopic. The hook samples Santi's "Shove It", and she adds a verse towards the end.
An interesting cross-pollination of traditionally hipsta- and gangsta-identified BK neighborhoods, though sadly it seems that nobody is available to rep Brooklyn in song south of Prospect Park.

Santogold's verse is pretty good on this, but Jay-Z still isn't so great. It's kinda too lazy.
Also, a crown made outta Brooklyn is pretty cool. And I like the chorus a whole bunch.
I was at the Gap yesterday and "Lights Out" came on. She's doing well for herself.
why are hipsters so gay
god sheek stop posting so much about Santogold!
no. i like these posts.
3:21 best post ever
this is retarded.
santogold = from an upper middle class family in PHILLY, went to an expensive prep school, and then wesleyan.
how the fuck is she gonna try and "rep" brooklyn????? why does no one else see the hypocrisy!??
She's repping Brooklyn hipsters, which is annoying, but valid. Most of them only "settled" in Brooklyn in the past decade, like she did. Though she has the advantage of having been born in Brooklyn, so... make of that what you will.
