Vintage MGMT track "Supervolcano"
Andrew VanWyngarden '05 of MGMT created this ode to the Supervolcano while enrolled in the E&ES class, Hazardous Earth: Stuff That Will Kill You in Spring '05. Instead of creating a presentation, VanWyngarden and non-MGMT member Ethan Leinwand'05 wrote this track. Give it a listen.

HAHA! I was in this class, and became quickly obsessed with this song. It's a collaboration between him and Ethan Leinwand.
You Wes kids should also look into Glitter Penis, Andrew's group with his high school buddy back in Memphis. Some of it's pretty good stuff that hints at what MGMT eventually became. I wrote a bunch of posts about them on my blog, including a photo someone sent me from way back. Not to toot my own horn, seriously. I hate when people promote their blogs in comments. Oh man, I'm SO "that guy".
