Wesleyan students mugged twice in same day
Walk in groups and travel along well-lit paths, they say. And be aware of your surroundings, since two Wesleyan students have been mugged in the past 24 hours.
... on Monday 3/31/08 at approximately 10:45 PM a male student was near Dennison Terrace when he was approached by two individuals. As they passed him one of the individuals punched him knocking him to the ground. The individuals then demanded his backpack which they took and fled toward High St. The student did not suffer any injuries. The method and description of the suspects sounds creepily similar to the mugging that occurred not 24 hours earlier:
The first suspect was described as an African-American male, approximately 6' 1" black hooded sweatshirt, large build, the second suspect was described as a Caucasian or Hispanic male, approximately 5' 9" with a tan or gold hooded sweatshirt.
