Facebook Carpool Application

Will a new Facebook application called Carpool allow us to bypass the rideshare board (since it seems like the new campus center might not even have one)? Check it out. It looks pretty sweet from what I can tell, equipped with googlemaps and all. According to Development Crossing:

The application is a fully integrated solution that has robust functionality. The user interface is very intuitive and well designed including Google maps integration as well. You can easily:

- See all your Facebook friends’ rides
- View rides in your network
- Search all rides
- Add ride offers or requests, for commutes or one-time trips
- Track all the rides you’ve shared, the miles you’ve traveled and your reduction in CO2 emissions
