Shows I hate myself for missing
Something embarassing that happens a lot is that I will be talking to someone and they will say, "I heard ______ played here!" and I will say "What? No!". And then I run a search through Wesleying and find out that 1) they did play here, 2) I blogged about it, 3) I did not go to the show. 'Sup Evan.
Cases in point:
Vampire Weekend, April 2007
Dan Deacon, December 2006
And my biggest pre-Wesleying regrets: Animal Collective @ Film House freshman year and The Management vs. God (senior thesis).
Other bands that played here in the last few years:
Dresden Dolls (Spring 2004?)
The Unicorns
The Dirty Projecters
Harry and the Potters
Deerhoof
World/Inferno Friendship Society
Of Montreal (they did not get to go on)
Mates of State
Saul Williams (not a band, but !!!)
And of course, Spring Fling headliners Ceelo, Andrew WK, and TV on the Radio.
Who did I forget?

Hendricks in 68 at Hammersmith Odeon. Killer. Instead I ate bangers and mash and watched the Tammy Show on the telly.

I used to do this all the time!
There was this time when I was talking to a friend in my "The Real Monkey Business: Primate Behavior" class (aka Gen-Ed for people who don't like science) about Spank Rock coming to Wesleyan.
I was like, "I mean, I listened to a few songs and I wasn't that impressed." This kid in front of me then turned around and was like, "NO, THEY'RE GOOD."
I should have listened to that kid.
