Bead necklaces, Brooklyn, Electro-glamrock, lo-fi special effects, early internet .gif-style animations, vaguely offensive "tribal" aesthetic, almost-hippie-but-not-quite fashion, and bad haircuts.
I had been wondering whether our current indie-rock trends had risen to the level of a cliche, and this video answered my question. Thanks, amazing baby.
yeah, disappointing. these guys are not that good/interesting, way to do a lamer version of what mgmt has been doing.
i didn't hate it but it does look a lot like a toned-down version of mgmt weirdness
It was already a cliche when MGMT was doing it, this is just kind of sad.
