Election time.
The Wesleyan Student Assembly would you like to remind you of the upcoming WSA elections. Here is the necessary information for all interested candidates, as graciously provided by the WSA website:
The Wesleyan Student Assembly (WSA) welcomes everyone back to campus. We're especially excited about this year: With a new president and a new space, it will be critical for us to come together as a student body.
Our FALL ELECTIONS are coming up soon, and we encourage all frosh and upperclassmen to run. If you are interested in making change on campus, pick up a petition from the awesome new WSA office on the first floor of the Usdan center, Room 104.
*There will be 8 seats for frosh representatives, the first six vote-getters will serve year-long terms; the seventh and eighth will serve a semester and then must run again in the winter.
*There will be 8 seats for at-large representatives from the sophomore, junior, or senior classes. The first four vote-getters will serve year-long terms; the next four vote-getters will serve a semester and then must run again in the winter.
Petitions are due in the WSA office by FRIDAY, SEPT. 7 at 5 PM.
In addition, please write a statement (no more than 150 words) and send it to wsa@wesleyan.edu. The statement will be published in the Argus and will also go alongside your name on the online ballot. (It is also due FRIDAY, SEPT. 7 at 5 PM. This deadline will be enforced.)
Good luck to all candidates. Please contact WSA Coordinator Izaak Orlansky (iorlansky@wesleyan.edu) with any questions regarding elections. You can also write to wsa@wesleyan.edu with any general questions or concerns.
