Daily Show Takes Another Cheap Shot at Wesleyan
On tonight's Daily Show, correspondent Jason Jones reported on yesterday's three hour closure of Starbucks for the purposes of re-training (and publicity). When he decides to get some coffee at a nearby convenience store, he asks "What barista school did this guy go to, Wesleyan?"
Relevant portion starts at about 1:12
Previously, Aasif Mandvi took a swipe at Wes. (The video at that link is no longer available. It can be viewed here, with the relevant portion starting around the 2:30 mark.)

who cares? why so defensive, wesleying?
I know Pi makes some tasty drinks, but I like to think that Wesleyan is a little more than a barista school...
Shit, Wesleyan isn't a barista school? No wonder I'm having so much fucking difficult finding a major...
many wes alums are employed by the daily show. i wouldn't worry about it.
My dad's friend who works at Pete's went here :)
wtf is a barista school?
it's an industry term that describes the training course coffee shop workers ("baristas") are required to attend.
Let's face it, any dancer, actor, or singer attempting to make a living in New York has been a barista at one time or another.
ekh, people, they're not trying to offend wesleyan--obviously it's just an inside joke among the people who work there. rejoice that you got mentioned. no one else knows wesleyan even exists
I'd be making more money as a starbucks barista.

Good. Starbucks is shit so any time they are not open is inherently good.
"Don't hear any Feist playing..."
In the video with Aasif, after dissing Wesleyan and calling it a safety school, he says that the new motto of America is "What can brown do for you?"
I feel hurt. I like Wesleyan, and Wesleyan loves me.
