The Shade at Public

Tonight at Public, come for the drinks, stay for the band:

Tonight at 10PM (or roughly barnight-o'c'lock), stalwart Wesleyan music-band/rock-group The Shade will perform at Public, the new Main Street bar and eatery that's attempting to steal the Wednesday night thunder from Gatekeeper through some unbelievable drink specials.

The Shade, featuring Adam Tinkle '08, Josh Koenig and Matt Paterson 09, and Jake Nussbaum and Will Brant '10, were most recently seen at Earth House sharing a bill with Megafaun.

Expect grooves to wash over you like that apparatus at the waterpark that makes huge waves in the swimming pool, except this pool is steamy hot, and if you put on your undersea goggles, you would see all kinds of crazy and brightly colored corals growing out of the floor. Dance? Drink ridiculously cheap pitchers? Avoid the pink corona gimmick?
Date: Wednesday, October 22
Time: 10 pm
Place: Public (on Main Street)

Last chance to buy Senior Cocktails passes

The Senior Class Officers have extended the deadline for purchasing Senior Passes, and have scheduled two more "Bonus Ticket Sales" for those who have yet to buy the $120 pass to get into Senior Cocktails.

Senior Class President Ravid Chowdhury '09 writes:

WTF? I wake up at the crack of noon a.m. everyday and bust my ass for senior cocks. For those of you who did not by a senior pass yet, that is ridic. I sent you emails, love notes, poked you on facebook. you never called. Why can't you be like the other 500 people in your class who bought a pass at the scheduled times? I'm not mad at you, I'm disappointed. I work really hard.

And I heard some ignant indecisive fools on the eclectic list servs are asking, "hey are you gonna go to cocks? should I buy a pass? Are you guys going, cause I'm not gonna go unless you go." Thats adorable, but dumb. Senior Cocks is the coolest event any college/university does.

There is unlimited alcohol and food. Everyone is going. Pay with student account.

But this is Wesleyan, and we are no doubt the dopest clique, and per style of dopeness, we are fashionable late. so late/cool that we miss the deadline. But baby, I love you and I would do anything for you. so BONUS TICKET SALES.
Your last chance to get tickets will be at the following times:

Date: Tuesday, Oct. 21
Time: 8:00 – 10:00 PM
Place: Olin lobby, SciLi lobby

Date: Wednesday, Oct. 22
Time: 12:00 – 1:00 PM
Place: Usdan
