Math Rock and Experimental Bands at WestCo

Come see some bi-coastal Math Rock and Experimental action go down this Friday at the WestCo Cafe. The line up includes:

Little Women (Brooklyn, NY)
(myspace.com/littlewomensounds)

"[Little Women] are too tight to be called free and too post-punk (no wave?) to be called jazz/rock either. They are most exciting and even throttling at times. Some of the most potent and powerful sh*t I've heard in a long while!" - Bruce Lee Gallanter (Downtown Music Gallery)

YUKON (Baltimore, MD)
(myspace.com/yukon)

"With a sensibility made of equal parts jazz, hardcore, and math rock, Yukon's twining melodies and rhythms take risks in reinventing the ways a rock song can be strung together." - Baltimore City Paper

PRAYER BUDDIES
(Dana Matthiessen '09 + Prayer Buddy)

GEORGE PRITZKER ( San Diego, '10)
(myspace.com/georgepritzkermusic)
GP + Computer

Date: Friday, November 14

This weekend: The Kotov Syndrome

Ankur Verma '10 writes:

The Kotov Syndrome is an original musical which will go up at the WestCo Café this Thursday (Nov. 13), Friday (Nov. 14th) and Saturday (Nov. 15th).

Union and Annie are two friends who have ended up living together in an apartment. Knowing each other since they were children, their lifelong friendship seems to have been held together through a mutual interest in chess. However, when long withheld emotions finally surface in a misunderstanding, their relationship is changed forever, and ultimately leads to a murder. This is an original show written by Robert Rusli, and directed by Ankur Verma, which is a contemporary musical told in a non-linear approach.
Date: Thurs., Nov. 13; Fri., Nov. 14; Sat., Nov. 15
Time: 8:00 PM; 3:00 PM (Saturday only)
Place: WestCo Café
