WSA elections closed last night at midnight. Here are the results:
Class of '09 Representatives
- Chris Goy (109)
- Justin LaSelva (105)
- Candace Buckner (88)
- Patrick Lee (79)
- Chris Choi (67)
Class of '10 Representatives

- Becky Weiss (157)
- Liana Woskie (132)
- Morgan-Marie McCray (109)
- Michelle Garcia (81)

- Jeffrey Stein (79)
Stein and Cheng are tied with 79 votes each; I'm awaiting word from the WSA on what happens now, and will update this when I get a response.
UPDATE: Via Elections Coordinator Izaak Orlansky '08:
Due to the unusual nature of the tie, the Elections Committee has decided to award both Vickie and Jeff seats. In order to account for the extra seat, we will have one less at-large seat available in the fall election.Class of '11 Representatives

- Micah Feiring (181)
- David Markowitz (162)
- Bradley Spahn (122)
- Samantha Pop (109)
- Jaynice Del Rosario (98)
Congratulations to all the candidates!

yay justin!
You missed some other write-ins of note. Look again at Rising Juniors and Rising Sophomores...
AHAHAHA Giant Joint > Mytheos
how many did sam bernhardt get? I'd imagine at least as many in his year as Giant Joint
Were students allowed to vote in class elections other than their own? I'm just wondering how there were so many votes (963 for the class of '11 alone!)
Anon 6:08 - Go back to the voting site and log in again. You can view results. Sam got 41 with his name spelled right, 3 more spelled similar, and a few others way off (or full name). But you can't really count the others because it could be a double vote from someone who voted for him spelled correctly. Either way, he tied or beat Mytheos.
Anon 6:17 - You can vote for more than one. "votes cast" is not the same as "number of voters"
ugh.. when will the giant joint saga finally lose steam? it's getting really tiresome.
for how long has "giant joint" been a candidate?
Bex Allen '08 started the Giant Joint campaign. She explained how it came about in her WesCeleb interview of May 2006. The official Facebook Group still exists, too.
Other Giant Joint coverage at Wesleying:
- Plea for Giant Joint
- Three votes short
- Marijuana for President
At least you would always know where Giant Joint stood on the issues.
