The S&C is back!

That's right! After a long month of less-tasty dining, the Star and Crescent's chef is back from his honeymoon and ready to cook some delicious meals at Alpha Delt starting this Monday, October 13th.
Meals are served Monday through Thursday for dinner, and Tuesday through Thursday for lunch. Hours and sit-down prices have not changed from last year, they remain:
This year's S&C Stewards (Nick Field '09 and Gus Spelman '11) will be selling meal contracts during dining hours through the next two weeks (essentially this consists of buying a set number of meals (lunches/dinners) per week up front at a discount). Full details of the costs will be available at that time.

what is "chix"? chicken?
Yes chix is chicken, sorry for the shorthand.
seriously though, was Star and Crescent formerly some kind of Islamic mystical society? what's with the arbitrary religious symbol usage?
the symbol usage is yoinking a graphic from the internet, the star and crescent itself is not inherently religious, it was a sign of the ottoman empire...and it's also used in other places...(thank you wikipedia)
star and crescent was probably just some oriental, quasi-mystical symbol that a lot of eating clubs of yesteryear thought was kind of cool. Why do you think Shriners wear the Fez?
The Star and Crescent are ADP's symbol, that's why the resturant is called that. As 5:29 says, it's probably just because they seem quasi-mystical; there is certianly no relation to Islam.
If you want to be one of the first three freshman how early do you have to go?
Generally 10 minutes early is more than enough time... it depends on the meal.
